Are patch lead solids or stranded copper?
Excel CAT6 and 6a patch leads are constructed using 26AWG stranded copper wires and not solid copper cores.
What is central loose tube fibre?
Cables referred to as Central loose tube fibre are cable which have been constructed around a silica gel filled tube containing up to 4 colour coded fibres.
What is OM3 and OM4 Tight buffered cables?
Om3 and OM4 tight buffered optical cables have been designed specifically for internal and external applications, these compact and lightweight cable are extremely flexible and are and easy to install, they are constructed around an E-Glass strength member and is covered with a flame retardant, low smoke zero halogen outer sheath.
What does CST and SWA mean?
Cables with added protection will typically have the term CST and SWA which stand for Corrugated steel tape and Steel wire armoured, these cables would typically be installed in direct burial but not always, a cable have either of these does not mean that the cable is protected indefinitely but rather that it aids in protection and does not guarantee it.
How do I know if the product I purchased is CPR compliant?
All products sold into EU are CPR compliant which is demostrated by the DOP - Declarations of Performance which can be found on the product specification files section on the product page.
How often do we need to renew our ECP status
As an associate ECP, you wll be required to renew your ECP status with Mayflex every 2 years.
What products are included in CPR?
Any cable which is deemed to be permanent once installed is within the scope of CPR. Covering power, data and communication cables such as copper, fibre, coax and multi-conductor cables with the exception of patch leads.
What does ESP mean?

The term used in the market is Screen and not shielded, they are either Unscreened cabling system or Screened Cabling System.
What is the recommended cable for direct burial?
PVC cabling an handle temperatures to -20 C whereas PE Polyethylene cable can handle -40 C, the Excel Enbeam Duct Grade and Direct Burial cables are PE sheathed.

Anext is knowm as Alien Crosstalk where other cable signals interfere with another set of cables.

Ive assembled my cabinet but my doors do not line up, why?
Cabinet assembly and the misalignment of doors is attributed to missing feet on the cabinet, once feet are installed, this should resolve all door alignment issues.

The bend radius of the 190-071 during installation is 52mm vs installed at 26mm.
What are the key differences of Cat6 standards?
The key difference between the standards for Category 6A is the requirements for Near End Cross Talk (NEXT) performance. The ‘A’ in Category 6A means augmented, which means that the requirements for Category 6 are Augmented up to 500 MHz. With the ISO and EN standards the NEXT limit equation is simply extended above 250 MHz to 500 MHz using the same equation. The TIA standard relaxes the limit at 330 MHz.

I returned an item but I have not received a refund, what should I do?
When an item has been returned to the supplier, they will test the item/s. Once the fault has been confirmed, a credit will then be issued, please note, depending on supplier this can take a few weeks
