December 2024, Mayflex, the distributor of Converged IP Solutions, has recently achieved the ISO 45001 certification for health and safety compliance.

ISO 45001 is an internationally recognised standard for occupational health and safety. It demonstrates commitment to providing a safe and healthy workplace, ensuring the well-being of everyone, and continuously improving a business’s processes.

At Mayflex, we’ve estimated that currently only 10% of businesses are using cloud-based video security but it’s a solution we’re excited about and the technology and information you can use is impressive.

The UK government has committed to creating a world-class digital infrastructure and is investing £40 million to extending 4G coverage to 95% of the population, delivering high quality 5G to all populated areas in the UK by 2030, and investing £40 million to drive take up of innovative 5G-enabled services for businesses and the public sector.

On Saturday 5th August 2023, Mayflex, associates Amanda Griffiths, Liz Evans and Tracey Kernaghan (formerly Calcutt) together with retired Mayflex associates Margaret Butterfield and Lyn Gale took part in their 4th ultra challenge, the South West Coast 50, to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.

The walk started from Dunster Castle and went through Minehead and then up on to the 630 mile coastal path and up to Exmoor with over 1600 metres of climbing and all made far more challenging with storm Antoni bringing in 50+ mph winds.

Investing in a video security system is a great way to protect your people, property, and assets. However, it is important to understand the different costs involved before deciding.

There are two main types of costs associated with video security systems: capital expenditures (CapEx) and operating expenses (OpEx).

CapEx costs are incurred upfront when you purchase the system and its components. This includes the cost of the cameras, recorders, installation, and any other necessary equipment.
