The town of Montigny le Tilleul wanted to expand its existing town hall to unite all of its administrative and social services into one building. They organised a competition for engineers/ architects to design an extension to their old building with specific criteria. 

The Hospital St Pierre was opened in 1937.  The official site that we know today was officially opened in 1973.  In 2010 they built a large extension “Wing 800” to be able to cope with the region’s growing population.
