We own a brand called Excel which a structured cabling system that is sold throughout EMEA and holds the number 1 market share position in the UK, when measured by volume. As part of our Mayflex 2020 strategic plan, we have ambitious plans to expand the Excel reach geographically and to improve the marketing and support tools we provide to our customers.
To support this growth and meet our ambitions, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic marketing communications executive to help drive and deliver the Excel marketing plan and to help build the brand.
Main duties will include the following:
- Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager this position will play a key role in defining and delivering the activities outlined in the marketing plan.
- Working closely with colleagues and customers to deliver quality, relevant and effective communications.
- Writing effective content in the required style for emailshots, websites, case studies, press releases, newsletters, brochures, social media, advertising, product catalogues, etc
- Working with the Digital Marketing Executive to ensure that Excel is promoted digitally at every opportunity.
- Developing tools and support to assist the growing number of Excel distributors across Europe and the Middle East
- Driving the content of the Excel websites currently available in English, French, Spanish, German, Polish, Turkish and Dutch
- Working with third party marketing and translation agencies
The person – You must have:
- An experienced marketing professional with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
- The ability to speak at least one other language, preferably French or Spanish would be ideal but not essential.
- The ability to write engaging and quality communications to best reflect the Excel brand
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, with passion, drive and an entrepreneurial spirit
- The desire, passion and motivation to succeed
