An opportunity has arisen to recruit within our Business Development Team, two separate full time roles, 1 covering the South West region the other covering the North region.
The Business Development Managers will be responsible for achieving sales revenue and gross profit targets for their nominated vertical markets and product ranges. Working with specifiers such as end-users, consultants and contractors to secure acceptance, specification and sales of Mayflex products.
Main duties will include the following:
- Identifies and targets market segments and the relevant specifiers where specification of Mayflex products will be best accepted
- Clearly understands and defines the specification and procurement route
- Develops strong relationships with all appropriate contacts within the relevant specifiers
- Identifies and qualifies new opportunities
- Secures profitable, sustainable business within the allocated market
- Meets or exceeds monthly sales revenue and gross profit targets
- Provides regular and accurate forecasts to the Sales manager Cabling Infrastructure on current revenue and the longer term sales pipeline
- Provides feedback to the Marketing department and Sales on latest competitor strategies and actions to provide market intelligence
- Attends sales meetings and provides updates on developments within their market
- Actively seeks up-selling and cross-selling opportunities and relays these back to the appropriate people to increase the overall sales opportunity
- Provides feedback to Sales manager Cabling Infrastructure on any new product opportunities for consideration
- Represents Mayflex at all meetings with customers and vendors demonstrating the highest levels of professionalism
The person – You must have:
- Proven track record and experience of Business Development Management
- Success in gaining specification led sales
- Excellent relationship and interpersonal skills
- End user and industry knowledge
- Successful track record of presenting at Senior Management / Board Level
