The Internal Infrastructure Sales Account Manager is responsible for meeting and exceeding sales revenues from Infrastructure products and solutions. This is predominantly a telephone selling role although some face to face customer visits may also be required to establish long term relationships. Responsible for an agreed set of customers.
Main duties will include the following:
- Secures profitable business within the UK business territory
- Meets/exceeds monthly sales revenue targets
- Maximises levels of business within the infrastructure portfolio and across other company portfolios while maintaining the company CRM and order processing packages
- Provides regular and accurate updates to the there Team Leader and Director of Sales on current revenue and the longer term sales pipeline for a rolling 3 month period
- Provides feedback to the Marketing department and Sales on latest competitor strategies and actions to provide market intelligence
- Analyses and reacts to customer purchasing habits to check that Mayflex is offering the right products, solutions and levels of service
- Actively seeks up-selling and cross-selling opportunities and relays these back to the appropriate people to increase the overall sales opportunity
- Identifies and highlights nominated accounts for the future
- Represents Mayflex at meetings with customers and suppliers demonstrating the highest levels of professionalism
- Ability to communicate clearly, professionally and effectively at all levels within both Vendor and Customer organizations in both a written and oral format.
Success in this role relies on knowledge of the industry and competition coupled with a good understanding of the Infrastructure product portfolio. The ability to engage and develop relationships in the customer organization, work closely with suppliers to develop joint approaches to customers is also critical in the role. Performers are likely to be ambitious, results-driven and able to work on their own initiative with little supervision.
The person – You must have:
- GCSE Maths/English (degree or equiv. desirable)
- At least 2 years sales experience preferably within the IT market
- Account Management experience
- Proven track record of consistently meeting / exceeding sales targets
- Data experience
