What does Base-T mean?
Lets break it down, Base-T when separated, Base stands for the baseband signalling which means that the ethernet signals are carried on the copper cable without any frequency division and the entire bandwidth is used for a single data channel. T simply stands for Twisted Pair, twisted pairs are required to reduce electromagnetic interference.
