GCL Building Technologies

Listen to Tim Rycroft and Gavin Glasswell from GCL Building Technologies talk about their experience of using the CV100 Tester from AEM. Not only did the AEM CV100 cost them a lot less, the tester was far quicker to use because the main and remotes are the same, which was particularly useful when they had to test an existing 7,000 cables onsite - a massive saving on both time and labour costs.

Aspire Network Solutions

Guy Prince, Joint Managing Director from Aspire Network Solutions discusses their experience with using the AEM testers. Aspire Network Solutions deliver structured cabling, wireless LAN, CCTV, and building management solutions throughout the UK. The AEM CV100 tester has allowed them to carry out multiple tests including the LAN, Wifi, PoE connectivity and fault finding all with the one tester rather than having to use multiple different bits of test equipment.

Surveillance Technology LLP

Jason Beesley, Partner from Surveillance Technology LLP located in Northumberland specialise in the design, installation and service-maintenance of electronic security solutions. They purchased a CV100-K50-3Y and AD-MM-K01E Multimode Fibre Test kit in 2022.

Surveillance Technology have been using the CV100 to test both copper and fibre certification testing. Jason scored the tester 5 out of 5 in terms of the ease-of-use, the quality of the product and the speed of carrying out tests.

Jason commented ‘After researching the products it was a simple choice to buy AEM, due to the feature set and quality of the products. ‘Having used it for nearly a year now we are so impressed by the ease of use of both the tester and the software, even my first-year apprentice loves it and thinks testing is a doddle. Faults are easily fixed as it provides all the info that you need to locate any issues.’

‘It’s much quicker and easier to use than other branded testers we’ve used previously. I would recommend the AEM testers to other installers.’
