Our copper cable range

Excel is the UK’s leading brand of copper cable. We supply a variety, including Network Patch Leads, Multipair and Multicore cables, Voice cables, Speaker cables, Coaxial cables and more. Our Excel Cables come in a wide range of categories:

    • Cat 5e cables - The most common type of cable that has a bandwidth of 100MHz. Cat 5es are used on Ethernet networks for home or office use.
    • Cat 6 and 6a cables - Both use a twisted cable design. Cat 6 has a 250MHz bandwidth and aligns better with PoE (Power over Ethernet). Cat 6a has a 500MHz bandwidth. Both are used in higher gigabit applications, often over 10 gig.
    • Cat 7 and 7a cables - The most expensive and fastest copper cable, with bandwidths starting from 600MHz (cat 7) and 1000MHz (cat7a).
